IsoScreen – – Urine test for TB medication adherence research

IsoScreen® RUO is a urine-based biochemical test that detects metabolites of isoniazid (INH), a first-line anti-tuberculosis drug. The test provides a simple colour-change result indicating whether a patient has taken isoniazid within a defined recent time window.

IsoScreen® RUO is intended only for research and evaluation purposes. It supports:

Operational and implementation research assessing adherence support interventions

Adherence research and clinical studies

Programme sub-studies embedded in TB control activities

IsoScreen® supplied by Enbana Labs in India is classified and distributed strictly as Research Use Only (RUO).
It is not approved as an in vitro diagnostic (IVD) device and must not be used for routine diagnosis, treatment decisions, or direct patient management.

The test is based on a colorimetric reaction in which metabolites of isoniazid present in urine react with reagents in the tube, producing a colour change when recent drug ingestion has occurred.
